The second in the Australian Gum Tree series, I was drawn to this singular, isolated Gum Tree. It was winter in Australia when this photo was taken so the weather was cool but unseasonably dry. Without the wet winters, the summers can be even more difficult when the temperatures rise and little rain comes.

This tree looked like it had suffered difficult days. But still, it looked strong... independent. And right where it was suppose to be.
