This is a composite image with multiple exposures and a stitched panorama of a library in Surrey, British Columbia.
When I discovered that there was a local building that was... 'alive', I knew I wanted to shoot it. I had a strong vision of how I wanted to represent this image from the beginning. I wanted it to come alive as if it was a physical manifestation from one of the fantasy books contained within.
Because of its location, I couldn't stand far enough back to capture the building in one frame so I took multiple images. This created issues with curved lines and distorted perspectives. I envisioned the library head on, with straight edges. Needless to say, many hours later, I was able to create something that aligned with my original vision.
